Leave the best parking spots for your customers: If traders park in the best parking spaces, then that's less parking opportunities for your customers. If they can't park, they can't buy, and you could lose that sale.
A clean shop front is inviting: Time and weathering are not good friends to shop fronts, and if yours is looking grubby, customers may choose to visit cleaner-looking places. In some cases, a mop and a bucket of hot soapy water, and half an hour of elbow grease will make your shop look more inviting.

Are you making it difficult for your
customers to find a parking spot?

Good customer service is king: Shopping is more than just making a sale. Smile, say "hello", and make your customers feel like Sandbach is their second home. A happy customer will return, and may even recommend you. And it won't cost you a penny!
Promote your own town!: Make sure all your staff know a bit about Sandbach, so they can tell all their friends why they should come and shop here. But remember that not all shoppers are the same... some will come for the history, others will come for the malt vanilla milk shakes.
Ask young people for advice: If you don't understand your own kids and the younger generation, then you might not be reaching out to them. Ask the younger generation how they would improve your shop, and make it a "cool" place for them to visit. Youngsters will soon tell all their friends if you shop is a good place to visit.
